Pantethine is a precursor to coenzyme A, which plays a central role in the production of cellular energy via the Krebs cycle. Pantethine is a combination of two molecules of pantetheine, a bioactive form of vitamin B-5. Vitamin B-5 and coenzyme A are essential for generating energy from fats and carbohydrates, and for synthesizing many crucial cellular components such as hemoglobin, which transports oxygen to cells to produce energy in the form of ATP.*
